This makes it one of the <strong data-start=\"670\" data-end=\"725\">best land-based whale-watching spots in the country<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"766\" data-end=\"1110\"><p data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"1110\"><strong data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"799\">Kitesurfing &amp; Water Sports:<\/strong> The <strong data-start=\"804\" data-end=\"849\">Breede River estuary\u2019s large, flat lagoon<\/strong> and steady winds create ideal conditions for <strong data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"921\">flat-water kitesurfing<\/strong>, attracting enthusiasts from around the world. Other activities on the water include <strong data-start=\"1007\" data-end=\"1070\">windsurfing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and fishing<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1111\" data-end=\"1353\"><p data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1353\"><strong data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1134\">Fishing Paradise:<\/strong> The Breede River estuary is rich with fish species such as <strong data-start=\"1194\" data-end=\"1241\">Kabeljou (Kob), Spotted Grunter and Garrick<\/strong>, making Witsand a favourite for <strong data-start=\"1274\" data-end=\"1313\">shore, estuary and deep-sea fishing<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1354\" data-end=\"1583\"><p data-start=\"1356\" data-end=\"1583\"><strong data-start=\"1356\" data-end=\"1373\">Birdwatching:<\/strong> The mix of river, estuary, and coastal habitats supports <strong data-start=\"1431\" data-end=\"1451\">diverse birdlife<\/strong>, including eagles, flamingos, kingfishers, oystercatchers and more \u2014 a treat for birdwatchers.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1610\" data-end=\"1867\"><p data-start=\"1612\" data-end=\"1867\"><strong data-start=\"1612\" data-end=\"1629\">Witsand Beach<\/strong> stretches for about <strong data-start=\"1650\" data-end=\"1678\">4 km of wide, white sand<\/strong>, recognised as a <strong data-start=\"1696\" data-end=\"1715\">Blue Flag beach<\/strong> for its cleanliness and facilities. It\u2019s great for <strong data-start=\"1767\" data-end=\"1827\">beach walks, swimming, exploring rock pools and relaxing<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1868\" data-end=\"2057\"><p data-start=\"1870\" data-end=\"2057\">Nearby you\u2019ll find <strong data-start=\"1889\" data-end=\"1915\">Witsand Nature Reserve<\/strong> with several short walking trails, offering quiet spots to
